Planning a Trip to Romania:
Note: I can always 're-fantasise' this later, but I'm just lazy today.
I've been planning a trip to Romania for a month now, in its original conception, I expected to be having a group of 6 maybe 12 friends staying in a Villa, warm fireplace conversation each night, maybe games, maybe stories, maybe playing music and singing, snowboarding or travelling around to the castles during the day, all very exciting, interesting.
New years would have been a Great big party involving a few extra couch Surfers and really getting a party going..
But a few things let me down.
One is the weather.. while it is getting cold and snow is falling, its too little too late, so the snowboarder crowd is waning, Others are not planning to see in the new year in another country, and some friends just can't be assed.
So, It turns out that now, like most of my trips, I will travel alone, meet some people, couch surf in some nice places, but generally be bored and tired. staying in hostels and writing my own thoughts Or my game, or my game world.. or maybe get something done?
I have over 30GB of photos I should REALLY sort through so that I can get it cleared up, post the best ones on facebook, and delete all the blurry useless ones..
I have a tendancy now that I have this cool new camera to take the same photo 3-4 times. one is always slightly better than the rest, also I might be focussing on the wrong object, or miss out an edge,..
Then also, I like to take photos of all sorts of stuff, stoneworks, man-whole covers, lots of things that interest me.. BUT need to be cropped from 4MG pictures into 1MG concepts.. or sketches..
I think that 50% of my photos are useless, and 30% of them need to be cropped.. with over 5 thousand photos to sort, at approx 1 minute per photo + 2-3 minutes for cropping, re-saving and sorting.. I think its about 12,000 minutes = 200 hours of work.
My camera right now has 6GB of halloween photos, that I need to clear, BEFORE I even LEAVE.. thats at least 1,000 photos that must be sorted A>S>A>P>
Sheesh, I gotta do this..
Anyway.. I've always had a penchant for Romania.. looks like the kind of place I'd love to live in.. IF i could live in a castle..
